This was a quote by one of the
most famous philosophers ever to walk the face of the planet. Music is all
around us in so many different forms, whether it’s the bird chirping when you
wake up every morning or the sound of the rain pouring down while you’re trying
to sleep, there is music of some form in everything you hear. Music brings us
all together; it rids one of all boundaries, discriminations and barriers. You
can sit down with your grandfather and enjoy a song with him, even if you have
nothing to talk about. Music is the easiest way to connect with a person.
Each of us have met a fair share
of people and only struck a conversation with them based on their music choice
and taste. Apart from the fantasy of growing up and becoming a cricketer, pilot
or doctor, I’m sure the one thing most of us wanted to be was a rockstar. Just
to live your whole life playing your instrument and creating music and lyrics
is a fantasy which we have all seen ourselves live. And let’s not forget the
all the attention, money and the fact that you’re doing something you love, that
comes hand in hand with being a famous musician.
In India
we have some form of music in everything we do, whether it’s a wedding ceremony
or a prayer meeting, music is always a major part of the ordeal. Even every
time we go out to a club or for a party the first thing that makes or breaks
the party is the music. This shows us how music is used to enhance and boost
every situation. There are music festivals held the world over for music lovers
of literally every different genre. How boring would life be without music? There
would be nothing to help us feel, and to inspire us to be better then what we
are. Music stirs every emotion within us and so often we get the feeling of
complete awe after listening to a song.
Musicians write and sing about
everything from love to politics, certain artists have made a tremendous
difference politically and culturally, the best examples being Bob Dylan and
Bob Marley. Their music will live on within the hearts of others for
generations.
